The Gospel

What makes the life of the Christ-follower (Christian) different from the life of someone wholly devoted to the United Way alone?  Christ.

Both should be serving, giving, thinking, reflecting and providing activism on some level.  Both are committed and devoted.  I fear that Christ is being lost in the service of others.  Gospel preaching without serving and loving your neighbor is fundamentalist and arrogant.  Serving others and meeting needs without the gospel of Jesus Christ is kind but empty.

Today I want to serve under the audible banner of Christ.  I want people to know why I do what I do and how I do it…it is because of the mystic revolutionary Jesus Christ.
